A literary and musical reading
Three actors invite audiences to a literary and musical evening that reveals a lesser-known side of Astrid Lindgren. During the Second World War, the then 25-year-old Astrid Lindgren kept a war diary. These writings were later published and offer an intimate account of her thoughts, hopes and concerns in the face of a world at war.
The reading interweaves these personal reflections with excerpts from Lindgren’s books, creating a portrait of a perceptive and attentive observer of her time. Five songs – from the »Wolf Song« from »Ronia, the Robber’s Daughter« to »Blowin’ in the Wind« – provide a musical frame for the evening.
