»point de vue« aims to explore a different proximity and different choreographic scripts. in the live streams, cie. toula limnaios conceives of digital media as a partner, integrating different digital tools into the work, which focuses on the search for new horizons to alter perception, blur traces and transcend daily boundaries of reality. it is an attempt to think about live streams and the use of digital media, to understand it as another art form, exploring another form of communication that conveys a mixture of physical presence and digital form.
in the light of the possibilities offered by digital tools, new aesthetic languages are being developed. with these technologies we can explore new creative worlds that allow for interactive and immersive experiences. it’s a bit like opening pandora’s box. the new technologies and cinematic possibilities are changing our ways of seeing and looking at things, creating previously unknown seams to the dancers in the play of proximity and spatial overview, and influencing choreographic signatures and ways of thinking.
the cie. toula limnaios is institutionally supported by the state of berlin, senate administration for culture and europe.
»point de vue« is funded by the federal government’s commissioner for culture and media in the programme neustart kultur, tanz digital aid programme of the umbrella organisation tanz deutschland.
