With Tempus Fugit, the company of Toula Limnaios follows the trail of time. Deeply embedded within it is the all-too-human longing for happiness. Nietzsche sees this longing embodied in a herd of animals living entirely in the present moment, a state he envies because, for them, there is neither past nor future.
In Tempus Fugit, seven dancers move as a continuously flowing collective, an ever-shifting unity.
Driven by an inner harmony, a current emerges that embraces everything around it. A circle dance, like a single shared movement, which nevertheless reveals each individual in the moment.
From March to May 2017, the company of Toula Limnaios collaborated with the company Gira Dança in Brazil. The resulting new production premiered in Berlin from 1-4 June, 8-11 June, and 15-18 June 2017.
