sarah böhmer (*1987) studied film studies and american studies in mainz. from 2014-2016 she was in charge of the zurich film festival’s industry events, including the young talent platform zff academy. in 2016, she also coordinated the opening events of the european biennale for contemporary art manifesta.
she moved to berlin for the 2016/2017 season and began working at sophiensælen as a press and public relations officer. there she was head of the communications department from 2020 to mid-2023. from september 2023, she will be responsible for press and public relations as a member of the cie. toula limnaios.
